On the weekend of the 29th and 30th of October 2016, CMH Volvo Cars Bryanston had a Polestar Performance weekend.
Clients were invited to come to the dealer on Saturday the 29th of October to come and drive the new limited edition Volvo Polestar S60, or have Polestar Performance Optimisation installed on their Volvos at significantly reduced pricing.
Born on the racing circuits of Sweden and around the world, Polestar understands that races are not won in a single lap. To win races and championships, a car must reach the chequered flag. Every time. Polestar have created true drivers’ cars that are balanced and predictable by staying true to their engineering philosophy. Building on the inherently safe and dependable Volvo platform, Polestar cars are focused around the active driver. By providing a balanced, poised machine, driving enthusiasts will enjoy a vehicle that is equally at home on twisting country roads as it is on a busy highway, where comfort isn’t sacrificed despite the greater control you enjoy. Our clients pre-booked their test drives and all were thrilled by not only the fantastic handling and fantastic performance, but also with the intricate attention to detail and superb styling that makes the Polestar S60 a true limited edition.
This was followed by a breakfast run on Sunday the 30th of October from the dealership, from where we departed en masse and met up with the Volvo Owners Club of South Africa to join their convoy of modern and classic Volvos en route to Hartebeespoort for their Annual Fundraising Spring Bring & Braai.
Our clients were given the opportunity to drive not only the new Polestar S60’s but also our range of Volvos and Polestar Performance Optimised models, including the new Volvo XC90, V40, V40 Cross Country and XC60’s.
Our final destination for the day was the Hartebeespoort Boat Club in Cosmos. Once there, everyone took some time to marvel at the beautiful classic Volvo’s that were present such as the 145, 544 and more. Of course, their modern counterparts in the new XC90, V40, V40 Cross Country and XC60 also garnered much attention with the stars of the day being the two Limited Edition Polestar S60’s and the all-new Volvo XC90. Fires were lit and the big braai was a huge success, with Volvo enthusiasts from all over mingling, discussing their passion for the brand and sharing Volvo stories. Our clients who attended, as well as our staff, had a tremendous time.
It was an incredible opportunity to touch and experience Volvo history throughout the years and experience its evolution into the powerhouse brand that it is today while appreciating small touches and design themes that have been kept alive throughout all of these years.
